Control System Security Analyst','CEH02289','!*!Job Summary:
System Administration for the network infrastructure and security tools in a Control Center environment. Provide expertise in the area of switch and firewall administration and configuration of physical and virtual hosts for reliable and redundant network connections. This includes design, configuration, security hardening, patching, backup, and support for incident response. Security Analyst will also be responsible for supporting network & vulnerability scanning, log review, access review and other activities associated with providing evidence of compliance with policy and NERC CIP regulatory requirements.
• Perform switch and firewall administration for Cisco and Checkpoint network infrastructure. • Manage network access through policy, ruleset, object, user account changes • Follow change management processes • Maintain documentation in collaborative environment using trouble tickets and knowledge repository • Use event logs, packet captures, and other tools to identify misconfigured endpoints, network elements, and services • Assist in resolution of connectivity problems reported by users • Perform some system administration on systems providing network services e.g. web proxy, DNS, jump servers, ntp servers. Requires Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Computer Technology.
A two (2) year degree with applicable certifications such as Check Point Certified Security Administrator, Check Point Certified Security Expert, or Cisco Certified Network Professional is also acceptable.
Minimum three (3) years of experience working with enterprise network and firewall technologies Additional Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with regulatory compliance such as,e.g. NERC CIP, PCI, or DOD requirements. Ability to maintain or quickly obtain certifications such as Check Point Security Administrator (CPSA) , SANS GIAC, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Ability to communicate information effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to possess a valid driver license. Ability to possess and maintain appropriate background clearance.
Ability to work under stressful working conditions. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or reach repeatedly, on a daily basis. Ability to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop. Ability to operate office machines including telephone, photocopier, fax machine, calculator, laptop, mobile phone, etc. Ability to reach, grasp and move items. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to complete complex assignments in a timely manner. Ability to focus continuously on computer screens.
Ability to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands. Ability to work after normal business hours and weekends on occasion and to be on call during operational emergencies. Ability to travel to attend meetings, industry or professional association conferences and stay overnight as required. Ability to perform work indoors in an office environment.
