Reviews and monitors compliance and regulatory reports, information and data related to mortgage lending. Conduct Quality Control audits of files to monitor the overall quality. The Mortgage Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst will issue periodic reports to all levels of management detailing deficiencies, identifying trends, and where applicable, recommend actions.\r

Essential Job Functions:\r
\r
Review, analyze and document all areas of the mortgage file to ensure accuracy, completeness, and so that Mutual of Omaha Bank is in compliance with underwriting, internal and regulatory guidelines and investor salability.\r
Produces reports detailing findings, trends and where applicable, recommend actions.\r
Researches, analyzes and interprets proposed changes to federal, state and local laws\/regulations impacting mortgage lending products and operating procedures. Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to issues which may arise. Communicates and provides direction on implementation.\r
May research and review data to recommend and\/or deliver training as needed.\r
Monitors reporting from multiple sources, which may include market locations and correspondent and\/or other origination channel lenders.\r
Manages and responds to quality assurance functions, systems reporting and standards.\r
May write or assist in the creation of functional policies and procedures.\r
Identifies potential implementation and\/or interpretation inconsistencies or variances and notifies appropriate management. Advises management regarding resolutions and ensures timely implementation.\r
Partners in the development of and implements changes to loan policies and procedures. Tracks and documents policy exceptions.\r
Develops and maintains mortgage lending expertise for legal, compliance, transnational and business requirements.\r
Complies with all related Federal, State and Industry laws and regulations pertaining to banking.\r
Other duties as requested.\r
This position requires up to 33% travel, which may include flying and\/or driving and some overnight stays.\r
This position requires sitting over 66% of the time.\r
This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.\r

Minimum Qualifications:\r
\r
Considerable knowledge of banking laws, federal and state government laws\/regulations impacting mortgage lending to include CRA, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Lending, Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, Req Z, and HMDA regulations and reporting\r
Knowledge and application of related Federal, State and industry laws and regulations pertaining to mortgage lending\r
Considerable knowledge and interpretation of related Federal, state and industry laws, regulations, legal opinions and related matters pertaining to mortgage lending, with the ability to identify and interpret compliance related issues and related activities\r
Knowledge and experience in the management of a financial institution's mortgage lending products and programs\r
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees\r
Ability to maintain effective performance under conditions such as pressure of tight deadlines, rigorous questioning of their work, and opposition and criticism from parties disagreeing with proposals\r
Strong knowledge of mortgage lending policies, practices, and procedures\r
Ability to work efficiently in pressure situations and demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment\r
Ability to work independently and handle multiple and diverse complex assignments\/projects simultaneously\r
Strong planning, organization, and decision-making skills\r
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills\r
Strong knowledge of personal computers and software applications\r
Excellent analytical ability and sound judgment\r
Strong keyboarding and data entry skills\r
Excellent negotiations skills\r
