Job Description VDOTu00e2??s Information Technology Division is seeking an IT professional for the role of primary administrator of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for data collection and Preservation of Evidence orders from the Office of Attorney General in support of litigation data holds. Serve as the IT coordinator and compliance officer for internal and external IT Audit responses and action plans. Serve as Records Management Coordinator for the IT Division to ensure Virginia and VDOT records retention schedules are understood and followed. Develop and administer IT governance policies and procedures and perform associated activities necessary to ensure the proper and efficient use of Information Technology resources to achieve VDOT business goals. Function in backup capacity for the following: Procurement Sourcing (researching most appropriate contract vehicle for IT goods and services); IT Strategic Planning process and all related requirements outlined by Legislation and under purview of the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) CIO; Technology Asset entries into the VITA application portfolio system; administer project setup in IT Project Management tool. This position is eligible for telework opportunities; availability, hours, and duration are at the sole discretion of the Department Manager in accordance with VDOT's Teleworking policy. Understanding of the IT Strategic Planning and Investment Management process. Knowledge of the principles of Records Management. Knowledge of systems analysis, requirements specification, development methodologies, and procurement policies and practices. Ability to adapt and contribute to an evolving information technology oversight and procurement. Ability to partner with internal and external business customers and service providers to promote VDOT business and technology goals. Bachelors degree in engineering, management information systems, business or related field preferred; equivalent experience or training may substitute for degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience preparing IT Audit responses and action plans. Experience and understanding of FOIA and Litigation processes and requirements and tools used for data collection and storage. Experience in Commonwealth requirements related to Information Technology strategic planning, investment business cases, portfolio and project management, IT audits, and procurement sourcing.
