Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

This Compliance Consultant 4 position within the WFCC Compliance Team will support Wells Fargo Equipment Finance (WFEF) within WFCC by providing advisory services and promoting governance and oversight principles to maintain compliance with various U.S. banking laws, regulations, and rules and in implementing Wells Fargo compliance policies, standards, and programs.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

• Providing consulting and advisory services to the WFEF business on matters involving various U.S. banking laws, regulations, and rules and in implementing Wells Fargo compliance policies, standards, and programs

• Assist in developing a line of sight into the WFEF business to identify, monitor and mitigate risks associated various U.S. banking laws, regulations, and rules and in implementing Wells Fargo compliance policies, standards, and programs

• Evaluating the adequacy of and effectiveness of business procedures, processes, training and internal controls and providing credible challenge to the WFEF business

• Supporting internal compliance testing, audits or regulatory examinations as needed

Preferred locations include Minneapolis, New York, Charlotte, Des Moines, and Phoenix. Other WF Footprint locations may be considered.

Required Qualifications:

6 years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6 years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3 years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

8 years of lending related financial regulations experience

Knowledge and understanding of banking: regulations, compliance, policies, process, and procedures

Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management

Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
