Focus on ways to reduce the duties paid based on various treaties and import programs. This position is responsible for proper customs and export classifications of the products imported and exported by Philips Health Tech-Personal Health for which it is responsible. It assures that the appropriate duty payments are made and facilitates the customs clearance through the use of the concept of informed compliance and reasonable care. It assures that the proper export license type, license exception, ECCN and tariff number. Interface with the Distribution Centers for the exporting of shipments (products) from the Distribution Centers and various other sites. Responsible for the training for Dangerous Goods at the Distribution Center. Contacts include account representatives from services companies, purchasing, logistics, customs coordinators and export control officers and accounting managers at PD\/BG operating unite; US Customs supervisions and clerks. You are responsible for Senior Import\/Export Compliance Analyst l Export Control Officer (ECO), Dangerous Goods Officer Key area of responsibility Customs\/Export Control Management, Coordinate inbound material flows through customs, harmonized tariff classification, duty\/tax calculation, documentation, BU compliance program, C-TPAT owner, responsible for Protect transactions and customs\/trade related requirements. This position is responsible for providing compliance information and training to company employees & 3PL personnel who are involved with the worldwide transactions. ISA program (Importer Self-Assessment) Export Control Self-Assessment PSCS (Philips Supply Chain Security) Self-Assessment OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset Control) CFR19 (Code of Federal Regulations - Customs Duties) EAR (Export Administration Regulations) HTS, Product Classifications (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) and FDA product codes Export Control \u2022 Daily, review and approval of all export control activities with in PH-NA. Insure full compliance with Philips Export Control requirements. Maintain all records of exports from Philips PH distribution centers as well as facilities. Ensure Commercial invoices and PROTECT screening are being done on all Exports. \u2022 Annually communicate Philips global policy for Export Control \u2022 Provide training to all PH-NA employees regarding Export Control requirements \/ protocol \u2022 Conduct self-audits as required by PENAC, to insure export control compliance. \u2022 Provide process and instructions to distribution centers for export shipments. \u2022 Work closely with PENAC to determine ECCN and License exceptions on items being exported Customs\/Brokerage: \u2022 Resolving any customs related issues \u2022Customs import\/export management- harmonized tariff classification, duty\/tax verification, documentation, corporate compliance programs, and Protect transaction. \u2022 ICS\/SOX Quarterly custom entries (7501 Form) audit. \u2022 FDA Hold processes and requirements. \u2022 CTPAT related issues and compliance. \u2022 Ensure that invoicing is compliant with US Customs requirements. \u2022 Develop Customs awareness within PH-NA \u2022 Respond timely and accurately to requests from PENAC Customs \/ Export Control Department \u2022 Resolve import issues with brokers and carriers \u2022 Keep accurate records for parts database and provide to PENAC \u2022 Conduct self-audits as required by PENAC, to endure compliance \u2022 Manage NAFTA certificate process \u2022 Manage Temporary Import Bonds (TIB) entries and exportation \u2013to ensure that Philips is not penalized for inaccurate process \u2022 Manage TSCA program \u2022 Manage import communication between PH-NA and the Worldwide Business flows \u2022 Manage FTA\/Preferential programs such as GSP \u2022 Update WEPF database for Canada returns \u2022 Shipping instructions to our 3rd party suppliers \u2022 Maintain compliance and coherence to Philips\u2019 policy and procedures with regard to imported product, ensuring PH-NA maintains a high level of informed compliance with all U.S. Laws and regulations. Coordination and implementation of Customs Import awareness seminars and training to raise visibility. Work to improve compliance through identifying problem areas and utilizing subject matter experts to resolve issues on behalf of PH-NA DGO (Dangerous Good Officer) - Making sure we are in compliance when transporting our goods specifically our equipment containing Li-Ion Battery -PSCS Officer - conduct internal audits & submit yearly PSCS Self assessments on behalf of PH-NA -Manage Infodis\/Prebilling issues & register new International shippers\/suppliers GTS Export Controls Super User. GTS is used for classifying HTS codes, Denied Party List and ECCN classification for Exports (EAR99) Support Senior Logistics Manager in day-to-day operations \u2022 Shipment Planning and Execution \u2022 Freight bill Audit and Payment \u2022 Developing and maintaining the SAP Incoterms \u2022 Customs Brokerage Quarterly Performance \u2022 Carrier Performance, Reporting and Partnership Programs \u2022 General Support of Local Operations You are a part of Philips Health Tech \u2013 Personal Heath Supply Chain, reporting to the Manager of Inbound Logistics and Compliance.\u00a0 To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience Bachelor\u2019s degree and 3 plus years\u2019 experience of experience in customs and export department with regulatory experience in a major corporation or service company preferred.\u00a0 Strong oral or written analytical, detail oriented organizational skill are necessary.\u00a0 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and literature as well as government regulation is required. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures without supervision.\u00a0 Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers, other government agencies. Customs House Broker\u2019s License required. This position requires an extended learning process involving continual exposure to technical changes through professional seminars, courses and daily on hand experience. This position requires the aggressive pursuit of information, knowledge and the exchange of ideas with government authorities, internal and external personnel in order to be on the top of your game. It requires attention to detail. The challenge is to be continually vigilant in obtaining the details required to comply with reasonable care and informed compliance standards.
