Payroll Compliance Analyst - Miramar, FL

Part of our team, you will be responsible for researching and maintaining accurate databases of information for rates, coverage and reporting methods on federal, state and local payroll taxes as well as coding systems in accordance with tax authority specifications. Also, you will provide expertise to specific compliance issues, tax coverage or the administration/application of payroll tax regulations.
Regularly review and monitor prescribed or assigned sources of information on payroll tax rates, agency regulations, reporting methods, and payment procedures and update databases or provide guidance on distribution of information within company
Code systems or audit system modifications in accordance with standard operating procedures and company policy and procedures
Partner with IT organization to analyze/interpret specifications from tax authorities and write clear, concise and understandable requests for modification of the system to adhere to new regulatory changes
Test internally or submit test files or documents to tax authorities to receive approval as prescribed by agency specifications
Document existing or changing procedures that affect tax filing or payment processes and assist business units with implementation of changes to methods, processes or specific requirements imposed by tax authorities
Associates degree in business, computer science or related field preferred
3 or more years of payroll related experience
Strong knowledge of payroll taxes
