Manages the personnel involved in the development, implementation, communication &/or maintenance of the company's benefits programs including, retirement plans, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending, health/medical/dental coverage, & time off. Provides continued development & implementation of compliance, communications,&/or design strategies, & consults in the development, design,&/or compliance of benefit plans & proposed changes. Responsible for leadership of a specific functional area of the Benefits Practice,&/or the overall Benefits Practice. Selects, develops, & evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Determines, guides, champions, & supports KP's strategy & philosophy w/regard to its benefits programs in line w/the Total Compensation strategy. Design, develop,&/or implement benefit programs & program changes that permit the employer to control cost &/or maintain or improve our market competitiveness. Negotiates nationally w/Health Plan, insured benefits, &/or other srv providers &/or professional consultants to secure competitive rates & srv levels. Continually assesses & assures the effectiveness of benefits programs under the Total Compensation umbrella in attracting, retaining, motivating & rewarding qualified employees, &/or compliance w/the applicable government regulations. Consults w/Reg-l & Medical Group senior leaders, labor leaders, OLMP, finance, &/or HR leaders on design, implementation, maintenance &/or interpretation of benefit programs & policies.
