The Senior Manager, Tobacco Quality Management Systems is responsible for providing leadership in the training compliance efforts for operating companies under applicable and pending regulations while demonstrating knowledge of regulatory functions and related compliance processes. The Senior Manager Tobacco Quality Management Systems will be responsible for managing contract services to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of training within the Quality Management Systems (QMS) are consistently achieved. This individual will work closely with department and cross-functional management to ensure that key strategic quality and compliance training objectives are met. Individuals in this position will be responsible for governance and monitoring of regulatory training as well as selected regulatory compliance activities interfacing with training activities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate training functions for the assigned area of responsibility and act as QMS training compliance liaison with other functional departments, consultants, and contract services Identify, assess and incorporate best demonstrated industry practices to assure cGMP and regulatory compliance with FDA and applicable external US regulatory requirements and applicable guidance documents Develop and maintain governance and monitoring processes for regulatory training and regulatory compliance Support FDA and other regulatory agency activities including inspections, inquiries, notifications, and other agency associated activities as required Lead efforts for new training compliance processes and changes to existing processes Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of quality management system requirements associated with standards and relevant regulatory requirements; interpret and provide guidance Ensure that personnel are qualified and trained to perform their jobs effectively and ensure an efficient operation that is well integrated Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements and guidance documents Job Requirements: Education: BS degree with relevant experience (5 years), or Associates degree with relevant experience (6 years), or High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience (7 years) Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the tobacco industry with minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in quality and regulatory compliance Experience with QMS processes and regulatory training Knowledge of applicable FDA regulatory standards and requirements Experience managing projects and working with consultants\/contract personnel Required Skills: Broad knowledge of tobacco quality, regulatory compliance and training Advanced level of written and verbal communication skills Ability to write reports and documentation Effectively manage competing priorities, adapt to change, demonstrate ability to accept additional responsibilities and manage tasks through teamwork Problem solving and continuous improvement techniques Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists Strong systems aptitude and data techniques Expertise with Microsoft Office Preferred Skills: Certification related to FDA regulatory compliance and cGMP quality Physical Requirements: Travel may be required.
