nnJob Descriptionn Job Description ** MUST BE US CITIZEN ** ** DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT IS 1 YEAR, WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION ** This position will be responsible to prepare, submit and manage complex licenses and agreements in support of the Integrated Supply Chain organization/Global Sourcing and Transitions, including the following: Client Aerospace is a Strategic Business Group with 40,000 employees in over 125 domestic and international locations. We are a leading global aviation supplier designing, manufacturing and distributing a wide array of Aerospace systems and components to commercial, defense and space industries. Aerospace Export Compliance enables the strategic objectives of our global business while maintaining Client's commitment to export compliance in all the countries in which we do business. Our team achieves this mission by providing export guidance and advice, obtaining export authorizations, and developing and improving company-wide export processes. This Export Compliance Officer (ECO) position will prepare, submit and manage complex licenses and agreements in support of the Integrated Supply Chain organization, including the following: • Provide accurate and timely interpretations of applicable export regulations. • Management of post approval activities for all license types. • Maintenance of accurate records in support of export licensing/agreement activity. • Implementation of export control policies and procedures business-wide through training programs, formal and informal communications and process improvements. • Coordination with functional groups to prevent violations of export regulations and assistance with export-related investigations. • Training of functional departments as needed • Management of and/or participation in a variety of high visibility projects. • Effective interaction with Client's Washington DC International Trade Compliance to maintain the appropriate level of quality control and standardization on export applications and procedures. • Management of complex issues for all license types • Releases of blocked shipments through Global Trade Services tool • Managing export related sourcing and transition projects Requirements include: • Working knowledge of the ITAR and EAR. • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of one year in Export Compliance experience Desirable Skills: • Experienced in processing export licenses for USML and EAR controlled items • Experienced in releasing export blocks through the Global Trade Services tool • Familiar with Integration Supply Chain operational flow Potential opportunity for contract-to-hire based on worker performance, worker attendance and dependability and Client's business needs.
