nnJob DescriptionnPosition SummaryRed Lion Controls, an operating company of Spectris, has an opportunity for a senior contract and compliance analyst at its headquarters location in York, Pennsylvania. The role has wide-ranging responsibilities and the opportunity presents itself at a critical and exciting time within the Company; Red Lion seeks to expand its presence in overseas markets, thus necessitating the need for a skilled and experienced professional to oversee administration of contract negotiations, trade agreements and compliance activities. Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel and Ethics Officer, a new position within Red Lion, this individual will assist with many of the administrative duties surrounding contract administration, trade compliance, M&A work and other legal matters.The Senior Contract and Compliance Analyst will manage the finalization of contracts and will work cross-functionally within Red Lion, particularly with colleagues from sales, marketing and finance. The successful candidate also handles completion of distributor agreements, the execution of NDAs, liaises with our parent company’s legal team as appropriate and manages our legal and regulatory filings – both using internal systems as well as externally as necessary. Because Red Lion has traditionally been a business with a significant majority of revenue generated from the Americas, an individual with experience in handling international trade agreements is preferred.This person also serves as a key leader within the organization for ethics and ethical conduct – something central to how Red Lion operates as an organization. Collaborating with members of the leadership team and under the direction of the Chief Legal Counsel, this individual may assist with creating and managing training covering areas such as trade compliance, handling of confidential information, and data privacy.Red Lion is a growing, well-regarded employer that has strong roots in York, PA. The successful individual will be a key factor in the growth of our business.Key Job RequirementsThe Paralegal / Legal Secretary will be responsible for the coordination, preparation and management of distributor agreements, NDAs, real estate leases and corporate governance documentsInvolvement in contract negotiation with customers, suppliers and service providers in partnership with sales, finance, operations and IT. financeManage trade and export compliance training, documentation and adherence within Red Lion ControlsAdminister restricted party screening of new customers, suppliers and employeesAssist with acquired entity integration in accordance with planCoordinate distributor ethics due diligence reviewsCoordinate IP document filing and management along with engineering, marketing and external service providersAssist with determining coverage and compliance with any ITAR-related productsAssists with training throughout the organization; may create training on process adherence and disseminate for disbursal throughout the companyCoordinate approval of third party legal invoices within Red Lion ControlsOffers basic legal guidance on some issues under direction of Chief Legal CounselKey coordination point for all internal legal mattersQualifications: Bachelor or Associates degree in Business, Legal Studies or related fieldDemonstrate the ability to working independently, with minimal supervision or as a member of dedicated team for specific project assignmentsMinimum 3 years’ experience in administering business / pricing contracts; International experience requiredStrong understanding and demonstrated ability to manage trade / contract compliance issuesIntermediate understanding of ITAR, anti-bribery and corruption practices and regulationsStrong and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
