Job Summary
The primary role is to provide legal compliance support and analytics to the Company’s in-house Employment Compliance and Projects team in connection with various aspects of employment law and other federal, state, and local laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Monitors regulatory changes with federal, state, and local laws.
Assists in reviewing compliance with established laws, regulations, company policies and guidelines. Participates in the development of corrective action plans where areas of opportunity are identified.
Gathers, analyzes, and reports on data utilizing Excel and other formats to detect problems and identify solutions.
Supports Employment Compliance & Projects team by organizing project tasks, monitoring project deadlines, and facilitating steering committee meetings.
Assists in the development of communication tools, including management of sharepoint sites, company websites, monthly newsletters, etc.
Employs effective oral and written communication skills to proofread, review, paraphrase, summarize, and report on complex legal rules, regulations, and guidance.
Develops and maintains tracking mechanisms detailing federal, state, and local laws.
Assists in the creation of video trainings and facilitates training presentations, including use of WebEx.
Responsible for overseeing organization of Team’s use of electronic case management system and housing of Team’s resources, tools, and process guides in a central repository.
Organizes and prioritizes numerous tasks and completes them under time constraints.
Takes responsibility for providing timely and accurate information, and responses to internal team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience with reporting on data and ability to identify and predict trends in data and analytics.
Knowledge of technology is critical.
Background knowledge in any realm of employment compliance or Human Resources.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and strong analytical ability are essential.
Excellent computer skills, a strong work ethic, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to operate effectively in a high volume, time-sensitive environment.
Advanced Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint skills.
Experience with WebEx.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines through well thought out work flow processes.
Must be able to work largely independently within the bounds of the position and coordinate legal functions with in-house and outside attorneys.
