The Compliance Manager is directly responsible for overseeing and tracking adherence to daily, monthly, and annual financial compliance requirements. The Compliance Manager’s main responsibilities will be to work in conjunction with the CFO to track, prepare, submit filings and reports, and evaluate compliance activities by monitoring and analyzing requirements. The Compliance Manager will work closely with the Compliance Attorney in the Legal Department to ensure compliance in all financial areas. This full-time position reports directly to the CFO.
Salary varies dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Manages, prepares, submit filings, and oversees the financial compliance tracking system.
Updates CFO regarding accounting policies and procedures changes required to maintain compliance and ensure constant compliance with the law.
Works in conjunction with CFO to manage month-end and year-end closing.
Prepares and records journal entries including supporting documentation for approval.
Organizes financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
Provides financial information to other departments.
Coordinates and completes regular tax audits and annual audits.
Backup for CFO and Accounting Manager; indirect supervisor for a staff of 4 to 6.
Tracks the progress of, and meets, financial accounting objectives.

Required Education and Experience
BS or BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
Proven work experience of 5 to 7 years in compliance and 2 to 3 years supervising.
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
Advanced computer skills with MS Office, accounting software and databases.
Strong Excel capabilities using pivot tables, designing calculations, etc.
Ability to analyze, manage and manipulate large amounts of data.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Team player and team management skills.
Ability to manage priorities, workflow, handle special projects, and multitask.
This position will be an indirect supervisor and will manage employees of the department in the absence of the Accounting Manager and will participate in the performance management of employees within the department.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, calculators and multi-line phones.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard work days are Monday through Friday, and work hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and Saturday work may be required.
