We’re seeking a Chief Privacy Officer, in our Englewood, Colorado office (global headquarters). In this role, you will provide best-in-class leadership of the Global Privacy Program, including consumer and employee issues, privacy and information security policies, and implementation of requirements for international privacy laws, including GDPR. \r\rSound interesting? Here are some specifics: \r\r\rLead global privacy program in accordance with state, federal and international laws and regulations.\r\r\rResponsible for company’s global privacy policies and aspects of information security and other related policies.\r\r\rDevelop and administers global privacy training curriculum.\r\r\rImplementation of recommendations related to adequate compliance with privacy laws impacting the company.\r\r\rResponsible for driving efficiency, reducing waste, ensuring role clarity, and properly documenting processes.\r\r\rPartner with Business Units to drive end to end customer value delivery. \r\r\r\rWhat you will need to succeed: \r\r\r15 years of related/practical relevant legal experience in law firm, consulting firm, or corporate legal department.\r\r\rJuris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law, admitted to at least one US state bar, or country equivalent.\r\r\rProven track record of leadership in corporate privacy arena, including legal support in corporate business environment.\r\r\r\rWhat will make you stand out: \r\r\rDemonstrated legal expertise in privacy law and familiarity with current global requirements and issues.\r\r\rExperience with program design, build-out, and management.\r\r\rAccurately identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risk in a complex or broad spectrum of matters related to the company.\r\r\rProficient in communicating at all levels of the organization.\r\r\rAbility to conduct effective meetings/presentations to clients, senior, and executive management on complex legal matters.\r\r\rAbility to set strategic direction and deliver practical business solutions.\r\r\rAbility to think like a business person, to integrate legal and business issues and to partner with business leaders.\r\r\rGlobally-oriented mindset; key partner to develop and enhance the company’s global footprint.\r\r\rProven team leadership skills to build, develop and lead/manager a high-performance team. \r\r\r\rWhat it’s like here: \rWestern Union is a company on the move!
