Infrastructure Security Architect

Has overall technical security design responsibilities for security of the Maritz hosting and end-user computing environments. Responsible for ensuring Maritz IT Services infrastructure and end-user computing environments meets MHI Information Security Policies and Practices.
No direct reports or budgetary responsibilities.
Reporting and Working Relationships
Reports to Director or VP of Information Technology.
Oversees and develops the technical security architecture for Maritz IT Services, the infrastructure and enterprise application provider for Maritz Holdings and MHI Business Units.
Identifies and assists with implementation of technical security systems and tools; works with operational staff to ensure effectiveness of ongoing information security operations.
Manages Maritz IT Services security compliance-related activities to document, schedule and collect documentation requests and procedural information to support audit and assessment activities, including PCI, client and internal audit reviews.
Coordinates with responsible stakeholders in corporate security and business unit security teams on all information security related activities.
Document and assess risk levels and serve as SME/escalation point on security-related incidents impacting information systems, including networks, applications, infrastructure, and other IT systems.
Consults and interfaces with network administrators, system administrators, desktop support staff, and other Maritz IT Services staff on security issues and requirements. Also consults with management and other staff within and outside Maritz IT Services and, if required, clients of Maritz.
Develops strategies and roadmaps to improve security efficiency and effectiveness consistent with company direction, streamlines/automates work processes and works collaboratively with IT department personnel to accomplish objectives. Develop and present Information Security-related business cases where required, including risk assessments and justifications for tool and/or process changes.
Collaborates with MHI Information Security and Risk organization and promotes and markets security strategies within Maritz IT Services and to the customers Maritz IT supports.
Gather and assess data from Business Unit IT and non-IT staff to create actionable information regarding security issues with networks, servers, applications and other IT systems.
Experience and knowledge of security/access control administration best practices associated with applications, servers and networks associated with Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, SAML, etc.
.Net application development and/or scripting skills.
Ability to research and recommend purchases of tools to maintain and improve information security.
Experience implementing security controls for systems hosting in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud services.
5-7 years in an Information Security specialist or lead analyst role, or other relevant job experience required across multiple technical security domains (i.e. access control, network security, system security, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent.
Security certification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Information Security compliance requirements including ISO27001, PCI, SOX, and HIPAA.
Knowledge of data security domains including access control, encryption, intrusion detection, firewalls, malware protection, etc.
Experience in more than one technical security role with network, firewall and/or system security operational responsibilities.
Experience in compliance/vulnerability monitoring tools such as Nessus, WebInspect, etc.
Must have superior communication (oral, written, presentation) and customer service skills.
