Tax Compliance Manager
The Tax Compliance Manager will be involved in all areas of tax compliance. Areas of responsibility for this role will include U.S. and international income tax, sales and use tax, VAT and other indirect taxes, SOX compliance, coordination with external service providers and consultants and development of internal staff as required.
Manage preparation of the Company’s federal, state, local and international income and indirect tax returns.
Manage preparation of the annual R&D tax credit study including coordination with outside consultants and the product development team.
Manage the federal and state extension/estimated tax payment process.
Manage tax related audits and respond to notices issued by tax authorities.
Oversee maintenance of the Company's tax calendar to ensure the Company is compliant and in good standing in all jurisdictions.
Manage the tax account reconciliation process to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Assist with timely preparation and/or review of the Company’s quarterly and annual tax provision and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740.
Assist with the development of global tax planning strategies, including analytical work related to mergers & acquisitions, effective tax rate calculations and projections.
Assist in ensuring SOX internal control policies and documentation are properly maintained.
Perform research and prepare memorandum on various aspects of U.S. and international tax matters and monitor changes in tax law.
Identify opportunities and develop new policies and process improvements related to the tax compliance function.
Develop and maintain relationships throughout the Company to increase understanding of the business.
Act as a resource to other functional departments of the Company seeking tax advice.
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance plus a CPA or MST required.
Minimum of 6-8 years of broad tax experience in both public accounting and private industry in a multinational corporate tax environment.
Strong technical expertise, objectivity and competence in tax compliance.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent and diversified tasks effectively.
Ability to take ownership of projects and bring them to completion.
Demonstrates the ability to be hands-on and the willingness to accept challenging projects in areas both in and outside of tax.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate/present issues and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Knowledge of Corptax provision software, Tableau and/or Oracle a plus.
