The
Compliance & Product Support Assistant
will support the VP of Product Solutions in managing compliance initiatives, developing policies and procedures, and assisting with project management concerning the development of new products to ensure timely implementation. This assistant will support the VP of Product Solutions ensuring processes and procedures meet State Insurance Code, NAIC, and Federal & State insurance and consumer fraud regulations. The assistant will work with Marketing, Fraternal and Sales ensuring compliance of all advertising material in addition to assisting on all internal and external communication concerning new and existing products.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop, review and maintain policies and procedures to ensure all media meets compliance requirements.
Review agent’s online presence (COF website, broker website, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets) where the agent represents COF and identifies COF products and/or offers advice to influence, persuade, lead or encourage a sale.
Work with the agent or Home Office team to identify non-compliance and present a resolution. Alert the Home Office team of non-compliances, and take appropriate action while following the Policy Violation section of the Agent Advertising Guidelines.
Responsible for the development and roll out of company-wide training and communication plans related to compliance and the development of new products.
Monitor processes and activities to evaluate the adequacy of controls and identify non-compliance, complemented by periodic reviews of processes to help adherence to laws, regulations and internal policies.
Maintain complaint log for complaints received through the department of insurance and membership complaints having gone through the Member Dispute Resolution Program (MDRP). Ongoing monitoring of the Member Dispute Resolution Program (MDRP) ensuring adherence to the program.
Deliver results to senior management and engage other members of management in
discussion regarding business impact and plans to address areas of concern.
Perform annual review of sales and marketing material (brochures, PowerPoints, forms, etc.) to ensure material is up-to-date.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Knowledge of insurance products and processes.
Skilled with analyzing root causes of compliance risk issues.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Strong presentation and relationship management skills.
Ability to interact with senior business executives.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint a must.
Knowledge of life insurance products and life insurance sales.
Must be comfortable and able to work in a fast pace environment and pay exceptional attention to detail.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent experience.
