Your opportunityThis is your opportunity to join Deloitte's market-leading Restructuring Services (RS) team.   You will be involved in managing the quality and technical aspects throughout the lifecycle of some of the largest, most complex and high profile insolvencies in the UK and internationally.   Our team is a group of over 300 professionals who provide restructuring services to corporate organisations, investors and banks.  Widely recognised as one of the most experienced, dedicated restructuring services team in EMEA, we support restructurings across all industry sectors through advisory and insolvency appointments.  We have worked on some of the largest most complex restructurings and insolvency appointments in the European market.   Our extensive experience, first hand insights and tried and tested methodologies give us a distinct advantage to serve a very diverse range of client needs.  Our team of highly skilled business professionals with cross-border implementation experience is looking for candidates motivated to ensure we continue to maintain and improve quality on our client engagements.   Your roleWe require a Manager or Assistant Director as a member of the Quality and Risk Management team in RS to support and play a key role in technical and risk matters on insolvency appointments. This would include acting as an “in-flight” reviewer checking the quality of deliverables on live engagements as well as playing a key part in managing and developing quality, technical and compliance processes and procedures in the insolvency team.   The role is varied and can cover some or all of the following:Performing quality and technical compliance reviews on reports to creditors on insolvency appointments. Reviewing fee requests to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and technical requirements to ensure the request is valid.Providing technical and risk support to engagement teams on live engagements.Assist and/or lead internal quality assurance reviews.Prepare for and assist on external regulatory reviews.Provide input to the development of policies and procedures on insolvency appointments and assist in the continuous improvement of said policies and procedures.Co-ordinate and produce monthly compliance statistics on insolvency appointments.Co-ordinate and participate in six monthly IP case portfolio reviews.Provide technical input into regulatory and governmental consultations.Review and act as part of the quality control and assurance process on our cashiering function. Act as a project leader or team member on Quality and Risk Management improvement projects. Your work, your choiceHow long does impact take? How long is a piece of string? If this opportunity is interesting as a permanent role with a degree of flexibility please do discuss with us. Your professional experienceWe would expect you to have some or all of the following:Insolvency experience at case manager level.Recent JIEB pass or JIEB qualified with significant technical knowledge and experience.Strong communication and report writing ability.Expert knowledge of insolvency legislation, rules and best practice.Experience of regulatory visits.Insolvency technical knowledge of England & Wales and Scottish appointments.Insolvency technical knowledge of Northern Irish and Southern Irish appointments.Programme management experience and track record of successful delivery of programmes.Accountancy professional qualification.Insolvency Non-appointment taking licence holder.Experience in coaching, mentoring or counselling colleagues. Your service line  Financial Advisory Advising clients in the moments that define their business takes multiple layers of expertise.
