The Compliance Director is responsible for the day-to-day administration and oversight of compliance for Dignity Health Management Services Organization and specific Clinical Integration Networks and Accountable Care Organizations, including but not limited to the, Southern California Integrated Care Network, St. Rose Quality Care Network, Sequoia Quality Care Network, Valley Integrated Care Network and North State Quality Care Network. The Compliance Director must be familiar with Dignity Health compliance programs, CI Network programs, and accountable care organization requirements, including Medicare Shared Savings Programs. This position acts as the primary compliance resource to the Boards of Managers/Directors and Dignity Health Compliance Leadership.



Participate in the on-going development and implementation of MPV and it's clients' CI Network compliance programs.

Maintain current knowledge of Federal and State laws, guidance and regulations related to compliance programs

Maintain current knowledge of Federal and State laws, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements applicable to the Health Information Privacy and Portability Act.

Utilize industry standard processes to identify compliance vulnerability, including but not limited to risk assessments and work plan development.

Monitor uniform implementation and application of policies and procedures.

Participate in Board of Manager meetings, as directed.

Receive, document, oversee and investigates complaints and incidents concerning MPV and the CI Networks' compliance policies and procedures according to established guidelines and procedures and in coordination with similar functions and legal counsel.

Assesses safeguards and facilitate identification and implementation of controls to mitigate breaches of privacy or confidentiality.

Develop and implement corrective action plans for deficiencies discovered by audits and investigations.

Ensure that MPV and the CI Networks maintain appropriate consents, notices, and materials reflecting current organizational and legal practices and requirements as they relate to regulatory compliance.

Oversee implementation and tracking of compliance education program requirements.

Monitor the release or Disclosure of PHI to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Participate in audits, entrance and exit conference(s), and facilitate or assist with the development of timely corrective actions plans.

Serves as a privacy resource for investigations related to data security incidents.

All other duties as assigned.




Minimum of five (5) years experience in health care regulatory compliance required. Five years health care regulatory compliance management. Experinece in Clinical Integration/Accountable Care Organization, preferred.

Experience to demonstrate ability to oversee activity in multiple sites/facilities, simultaneously.

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing program-wide policies and procedures, conducting investigations, and identifying and resolving operational issues.

Experience in assessing and identifying learning needs as well as providing education and training.

Experience in appropriately managing confidential and sensitive information.

Success with identifying and resolving operational issues.

Bachelors degree preferred.

Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC or CHC-P), Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or other nationally recognized certification required prior to or within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge and Skills:

High ethical standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively across organizational levels.

Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and issues from a variety of perspectives and to understand legal, risk, and operational impact of decisions.

Ability to report quality metric data

Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external individuals, at varying levels of operations.

Possess a strategic and problem solving orientation and superior planning and organizational skills.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies.

Knowledge of hospital and clinics protocols and procedures.

Working knowledge of functional relationships between departments within a healthcare or similar environment.

Knowledge of HIPAA, Title 22, security principles, guidelines, and standard healthcare practices in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Demonstrated competence with personal computers, networks, and Microsoft Office.
