This position is responsible for Fair and Responsible Banking Policy governance by assigned business units, including but not limited to reviews of corporate/business unit policies, procedures, controls, and performance to ensure compliance with related corporate policy and external regulations for assigned area and works to identify, resolve and prevent issues. Core function is ongoing risk assessments, assessment information gathering and assimilation, report writing, change management monitoring and Fair and Responsible Banking Group management support. Provides regulatory interpretations and guidance and training to assigned area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reinforce the Fair and Responsible Banking Policy governance and requirements
Conduct detailed risk assessments as part of overall evaluation of the Bank\u2019s internal control framework addressing risks relative to business objectives, as assigned
Gather and review information about ongoing policies and practices, evaluate for fair lending and/or UDAAP risk
Maintain working relationship with business line partners and other stakeholders
Analyze documents, statistics, reports and business trends using auditing-like protocols
Assess the business line\u2019s previous risk management policies and protocols, residual risk ratings, changes in control, enhanced controls, and assessing prior remediation plans
Generate draft risk assessment reports, draft recommended remediation plans
Attend meetings and possibly present the Fair and Responsible Banking Group\u2019s proposals to senior management and staff
Provide training to business line management and staff regarding risk management strategies as requested
Generates reports and spreadsheets as needed for federal regulators from area information per required schedule.
Provides scheduling, tracking, reporting and/or database support to programs.
Maintains quality customer service and relationships with internal and/or external contacts.
Remains current with regulatory environment and existing regulations; assess potential impact
Represents business unit on task forces, at meetings and through participation in special projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of corporate governance, internal business operations, internal controls and risk assessment processes
Analytical, detail oriented, with an inquisitive and curious nature in order to vet information between policies and practice
Internal Audit or Compliance testing experience preferred.
Big picture thinker with ability to understand how business line functions within itself and as a part of the overall Bank
Report writing (legal writing, interpretations)

In-depth knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act (Regulation BB) preferred
Working knowledge of the CRA, related data and examination procedures to assess effectiveness of the Bank\u2019s CRA program.
Possess analytical, problem solving, and researching skills.
Proficient skills using Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) compliance testing results and business implications with all levels of management.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and projects.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines is critical.
Bachelor\u2019s degree with accounting or finance emphasis preferred. Experience may compensate for some or all educational requirements.
Professional certification or advanced degrees such as a CRCM, CPR, CBA, CPA, MBA or J.D. desired.
Ability to assess the compliance risk that identified issues may pose for the Line of Business and related processes.
Bachelor\u2019s degree - risk management, finance, economics, business management, statistics, computer science and/or other related fields
3 to 5 years of related experience preferred in consumer compliance, ideally in fair lending, UDAAP, risk assessment administration
Prefer experience with other analysis software beneficial but not required (such as FL Wiz, SQL, SPSS, R)
Professional certifications in related fields preferred (CRCM, CFRM, CIA)
