Responsibilities
Provide knowledge on import and export laws to ensure company compliance.
Coordinate activities involved in export/import trade compliance including, but not limited to, ITAR and ECCN product classifications, harmonized tariff classifications, country of origin determination, product valuation reporting, export license applications, manufacturing affidavits, ACE reporting, obtaining and reviewing end use statements for exports, and sanctioned party list screening.
Coordinate the development, review company position statements and policies on areas such as terms and conditions of sale, disaster recovery and export control.
Assist the company in preparing, submitting, tracking, and monitor licensing, certificate of origin documentation and any special permit required for importing of supplies.
Work with trade compliance audit criteria. Coordinate periodic internal and external audits globally. Establish and implement corrective/preventive actions to continually improve performance.
Be the point person for REACH, RoHS, WEEE and conflict minerals working closely with Engineering, Quality and Purchasing.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience in a trade compliance role.
Minimum of two years of trade compliance experience
Applying for export-import licensing
Understanding of ITAR and EAR
Working with Commerce & State Jurisdiction, classifications and USG policy related to technology and international relations
Working with proprietary information and handling competition-sensitive materials and information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of REACH, RoHS, WEEE and conflict mineral requirements.
Working knowledge of Dodd Frank.
Strong understanding of trade practices and applicable laws.
Technical expertise regarding U.S. and International customs laws, regulations and related issues.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Some travel may be required

This position is a regular, full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
