National Center for Safety Initiatives, LLC (NCSI), a SportsEngine company, is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented team member for our Regulatory Specialist position reporting to the Chief Counsel in Solon, Ohio. This position will primarily assist Chief Counsel in research; implementation of regulatory and compliance procedures; routine internal and external monitoring and audits including data providers; industry accreditations; and contract administration.

Assist in the implementation of regulatory policies, procedures and assurance systems in coordination with other departments at the direction of Chief Counsel.

Assist in process/system for contract administration to insure: proper form contracts are in use, tracked and stored in a proper manner for retrieval and review as required.

Coordinate Company communications audits for legal/regulatory review including systems; marketing collaterals and sales proposals; and hard copy forms.

Assist in conducting assurance activities to identify regulatory gaps and corrective solutions including but not limited to internal audit of systems, background screen results, service reports, registration processes and client authentication/on-boarding.

Assist with data Provider evaluation and due diligence of their products, services and integrations for legal/regulatory review.

Coordinate the implementation of NAPBS and other accreditation with Chief Counsel oversight.

Carefully manage confidential and sensitive information daily.

Organize & report results of periodic reviews/audits of staff screening case file reviews.

Assist with Data and Record Management policy and procedures implementation in coordination with IT and Operations Management including data retention, security, destruction and registration company integrations.

Ensures that a document control procedure is established to approve, review, and update all changes to critical documents.

Coordinate audits of company records related to system and data access permissions and terminations internally for staff, client administrators and externally with data vendors.

Assist with legal/regulatory review of Screening Policy/Procedure Manuals and updates.

Participate as team member regarding the legal/regulatory review of any system requests, changes, or updates that will impact how screens are processed and screening results output.

Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external data.

Acquire and maintain working knowledge of subject matter relating to regulatory compliance topics including but not limited to federal, state, and local laws/regulation related to background screening and data security, retention and destruction.

Maintains confidentiality of all company information and uses discretion in discussing regulatory compliance issues with internal and external contacts with particular care when involved with Attorney Client Privileged communications.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience. This includes but is not limited to:

Understanding of general computer skills including web applications, web based research process, and Microsoft Outlook

Experience in research and analyzing detailed records and documents is preferred

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization and with confidence, respect and integrity

Ability to analyze information, solve problems and work in a team environment

Tenacious, self-starter who can work independently to accomplish defined objectives and goals

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a large workload with dynamic priorities

Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Detail orientated with the ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task and manage time


Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
