Pentair is currently seeking a Import Export Compliance Specialist Lead to join our team. Interested candidates, who meet the requirements below, are encouraged to apply today!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the internal Logistics team, Purchasing, international CS team and third party logistics partners, brokers, freight forwarders, and trade advisory consultants to ensure global trade.
Lead Compliance Team to ensure success of the compliance program and initiatives for all locations.
Ensure that the time committed to trade compliance is sufficient for the management and delivery of required tasks.
Support Trade Compliance team in conducting assessments and other activities.
Ensure trade compliance communications are circulated to the correct people within the business location.
Ensure that accurate trade compliance data exists within the business location ERP and protocols exist within the system and with IT to ensure compliance operations.
Support the production of accurate transactional metrics.
Classify product for import and export and support the maintenance of classification databases.
Conduct post-import and post-export review of documentation for accuracy/record- keeping.
Determine country of origin and duty preference eligibility under free trade agreements (FTAs)/preferences.
Implement desk-level operational procedures in coordination with GBU Leads and/or Regional Managers to ensure regional requirements are addressed.
Manage licensing process; apply for licenses/authorizations; track license usage.
Obtain required end use/end user information and where required certificates.
Screen parties against the denied parties lists.
Ensure Anti-Boycott requests are reported immediately and on a quarterly basis
Work with Logistics and Supply Chain operations to facilitate imports and exports.
Support the ITAR Empowered Officials or others in specific roles (where applicable).
Attend at least 6 Pentair trade compliance training courses annually.
Conduct training sessions and monitor performance of business functions that touch trade compliance; these functions generally include:
International Trade Compliance, ITCOs, and/or Logistics/Distribution
Finance (includes business Finance, Corporate Treasury, Accounts Payable, etc.)
