Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the management and execution of day-to-day activities related to federal income tax compliance, legal entity accounting (transfer pricing), income tax reserves and the maintenance of the tax compliance software for the Tyson Foods consolidated group. This includes ensuring timely and accurate compliance with applicable laws and regulations and other planning and related projects. Other responsibilities include: working with taxing authorities to resolve audit controversy issues; providing audit responses; managing the quarterly preparation of income by legal entity for SEC reporting purposes; assisting with quarterly tax provision as required and any other duties that may arise.

REQUIREMENTS:

​Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting. CPA designation preferred . In addition, a good knowledge of federal income tax laws and concepts and generally accepted accounting principles.

Experience: 5 years of progressive tax related experience in the field of corporation income taxation and related fields. Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.

Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills. Candidate must have working ability with Excel, Word and Outlook. Must have ability to perform technical research using CCH, BNA or other tax research tools and the ability to learn and become proficient in tax compliance software such as Corptax or OneSource. SAP knowledge and experience strongly preferred.

Communication Skills: Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Requires a high proficiency in leadership, problem solving and the ability to influence others.

Supervisory: 1 - 2 senior accountants, accountants or interns

Travel: 3 domestic trips per year.
