We are looking for a talented attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Retail, Operations, and Seller Services businesses. You will be responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters. You will work directly with the business and compliance groups, serving as lead counsel on a broad range of issues and commercial matters, including employee health and safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability. Principal duties include providing day-to-day advice on safety regulations, collaborating with business teams to raise the bar on workplace health and safety, leading compliance initiatives including inspections and pre-litigation disputes, and negotiating commercial transactions. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.
4-9 years of legal experience (with at least two years at a law firm), preferably with some portion of that experience in a regulatory compliance or litigation role.
Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar is required.
A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus
Admitted to the Washington State Bar Association preferred
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
Ability to dive deep on issues involving legal or technical complexity
Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills
Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor
