nnJob Descriptionnr r r Duties and Responsibilitiesr r r r Establish and maintain policies and procedures that govern the site quality system.r Establish company Quality compliance objectives and ensure targets are communicated and achieved.r Bring together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.r Define and implement quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.r Participate in the site safety and environmental committee.r Drive quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.r Provide quality control, quality assurance and technical guidance to staff as required.r Supervise a project-matrix oriented organization with direct reports.r Maintain department awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.r Assess supplier and company product specifications, and customer requirements.r Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements deemed for external supply chain.r Ensure compliance with national and international standards and state and local legislation/jurisdiction.r Drive the application of environmental and health/safety standards.r Define and implement quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.r Facilitate corrective and preventive compliance actions to quality related issues.r Identify/specify relevant quality-related and workmanship standards training needs.r Collate and analyze performance data and charts against defined quality objective parameters.r Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product design and configuration changes are investigated as necessary.r Provide supervision and oversight of technical staff in carrying out tests and verifications.r Write/author technical and management system reports;r Ensure the timely execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.r Monitor product performance through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.r Must comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.r Must comply with all applicable U.S. export and security regulations.r Other duties may be assignedr r r r r Required Skills and Experiencer r r r Experience managing quality assurance operations for a plant, division or company with both design and production organizations.r Experience with implementations and sustaining compliance of ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality and Environmental Management Systems.r Experience with the development, manufacturing and testing process Cargo Inspection Systems and Conventional x-ray instrumentation and system integration.r Experience in establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with customer Quality Assurance Representatives including the US Government.r BS Degree in Science or Engineering or related field.r 8 or more years related experience in quality assurance practices.r 5 or more year’s experience serving in a leadership (formal or informal) role under and ISO9001 and 14001 registered organization.r Able to think creatively, logically and independently to solve problems encountered in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, regulatory compliance and the quality field.r r r r r About Usr r r At **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. we are dedicated to making the world a safer place. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., a division of Smiths Group, is a global authority on the application, management and manufacture of world class detection and screening technology.
