Benemax, Inc.,is a leading employee benefits management firm located in Medfield, MA.

We handle all benefits administration and claims processing for clients and members, helping them get the most for their benefits dollars. Located in Medfield, MA, we are seeking a full time Compliance Officer. Attorney, paralegal or senior HR generalist will be considered. Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Help client companies comply with federal and state laws and regulations.

Prepare all ERISA documents.

Prepare Forms 5500

Guide client companies on HR best practices.

Maintain licensing and insurance carrier appointments for Producers.

Manage the company’s external compliance resources.

Provide advice and counsel internally with regards to HR matters, benefit regulations, and compliance.

Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with such situations.

Work with HR and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees and ongoing training for all employees and managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree is required; post graduate degree preferred. Must be committed to continuing education and professional development.

Experience:

A thorough familiarity with employee benefits and state and federal regulations. Familiarity with human resource procedures and regulations. Demonstrated ability to make use of outside HR and legal resources as required. 5+ years of experience preferred.
