LEADS AND SUPERVISES:
Certificated special education personnel including Intervention Specialist, Instructional Aides, Speech and Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, Individual Small Group Instructors, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists, etc.
Builds and manages positive relationships with clients; charter school; public school districts including directors/coordinators of special education services; and/or special education service/governing entities.
Establishes records of service provider caseloads, and schedules; and reviews service documentation to ensure compliance with IDEA including frequent oversight and review of service provider Session Progress Notes, Assessment Reports, and Progress Reports.
Organizes, coordinates, manages and undertakes timely and effective compliance audits of TES/OSES clients to ensure compliance with IDEA.
Facilitates and/or participates in Individual Education Plan meeting development and attendance as necessary.

Teacher Training for licensure requirements
Must hold valid license or certification in Intervention Specialist, School Psychologist, or Speech and Language Pathologist with five years experience in special education required. Must have previous experience in a supervision role. Master’s in special education preferred.
Must possess knowledge of Ohio Operating Standards, Ohio Administrative Code and Ohio Operating Standards Serving Students with Disabilities regarding programs and pupils.
Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with professional and paraprofessional personnel in carrying out an effective instructional or remediation program for speech/language students.
Must have a working knowledge of modern office technology, equipment and procedures.
Experience in compliance monitoring of state and federal regulations regarding special education, including facilitating IEP meetings, required.
A valid OHIO driver’s license, automobile insurance with a minimum of $100,000.00 liability coverage, and ability to drive to various sites to provide services a must.
A current background check through the FBI and the BCI must be submitted. Current TB test (within the last year).
