Description
The Senior Compliance Professional ensures compliance with governmental requirements. The Senior Compliance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Compliance Professional role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
Research compliance issues and recommend changes that assure compliance with contractual obligations and state and federal law
Perform various auditing and monitoring activities and issue corrective action plans, as needed
Identify risk and compliance concerns to the enterprise
Maintain relationships with operational business areas and serves as subject matter expert providing guidance on various matters
The Senior Compliance Professional must make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues, perform work with little to no direction; and exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of related experience
Knowledgeable in Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations, preferably regulations related to sales, marketing and communications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Experience presenting and interacting with senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate or advanced degree (JD/MBA preferred)
Experience in an audit or compliance role for a health plan
Proficiency with CMS regulations related to sales & marketing
Experience using metrics and other data for reporting and identifying improvement opportunities
Knowledge of Power BI and ESP

Vaccine Policy:
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health-screening questionnaire.
Work-At-Home Requirements:
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
