Overview Position Summary Trust Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Trust division adheres to all appropriate compliance procedures, laws and regulations and for training all appropriate associates on these matters. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing programs, policies, procedures, and practices and is required to interface with regulators, auditors, and law enforcement agencies on all compliance related issues. In addition, this position is responsible for keeping the Trust division up to date on changes in compliance related laws and regulations as well as reviewing reports, curing deficiencies, monitoring compliance, and reporting to the Trust Division Board of Directors on a periodic basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Act as Head of Compliance for the Trust division reporting to Trust Operations Manager. Advise senior management on regulatory initiatives. Provide guidance and training to internal operating units regarding regulatory, transactional and documentation issues including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and OFAC sanctions compliance. Act as liaison with federal and state regulatory entities, IRS and DOL. Support regulatory exams and audits. Serve as Trust Department BSA Officer Act as administrator of the Signature Guarantee program for the trust department Draft and maintain policies and procedures to fulfill the applicable compliance requirements including development of BSA/AML and OFAC customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence (when required) and transaction monitoring and screening. Coordinate with internal operational groups to implement any needed compliance changes. Review marketing and communications for fiduciary compliance. Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Skills o Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. o Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, and/or journals or government regulations. o Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and/or legal documents. o Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence, routine reports, and procedures. o Ability to respond, in writing, to customer complaints, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. o Ability to effectively speak and present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization. Education and/or Experience o BS/BA Degree (4 year) from an accredited university/college or two to four yearsu2019 experience in equivalent compliance position required. Computer Skills o MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Database programs Other Qualifications (including physical requirements) o Must have good time management and organizational skills. o Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. o Must have good problem solving skills. o Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents. o Must have the ability to effectively respond to common inquiries from associates and internal audit groups.
