Legal and Compliance Department
Legal and Compliance Division comprises 1500 professionals who provide a wide range of services to our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. They preserve the Firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the Firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the Firm's businesses.
Legal and Compliance (LCD) Admin & Ops is a global team that supports the smooth running of the Division. The team advises on resources, budgets, technology and processes within the Division. It manages training and development, management information and special projects on behalf of the Division’s management. LCD Admin & Ops reports into the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for LCD.
The Admin & Ops team requires a Projects Officer to assist the Deputy COO perform their duties, most importantly to structure and deliver change projects across the Division. These projects might cover any aspect of the Admin & Ops team’s mandate and will typically be global in scope. Examples of the types of projects include:
• Requirements gathering, design and rollout of a new matter management system to be used by the Division’s attorneys
• Project managing the rollout of a framework for coordinated management of conduct issues across the Firm
• Work on presentations for an LCD Management Committee offsite to discuss strategy for the Division
• Deployment of a metrics and a reporting system to manage the Division’s relationships with key vendors who provide legal and compliance services to the Firm
A key part of the role will involve helping to write business requirements for technology solutions for a range of issues so that these can be handed to Technology partners to take forward.
The Projects Officer will need to form strong working relationships with colleagues inside LCD and in other functions across the Firm.
This role will involve multi-tasking at a fast pace. The Projects Officer will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management of the Division and gain an insight into strategy and execution of global projects.
