KPMG is currently seeking a Counsel, Legal and Compliance to join our Legal, Risk and Regulatory organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and conduct internal investigations, working with the CCO (Chief Compliance Officer) to develop and execute the Firm’s compliance strategy and protocols
Draft and review investigative reports and other documentation in preparation for review by Firm leadership
Identify ethics and compliance issues and trends, and develop policy proposals and other strategies to address them
Coordinate with and provide advice to Firm management in connection with investigations, special projects and strategic initiatives
Educate Firm personnel on compliance-related issues and provide advice and guidance on Firm training relating to ethics and compliance issues
Qualifications:
Minimum of twelve years of legal experience handling internal investigations and/or complex litigation matters in a leading law firm or large corporate environment
Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university
Extensive investigatory experience
Ability to work independently handling a variety of high-level activities
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment and work collaboratively with individuals in multiple groups at all levels of the Firm
