POSITION SUMMARY

** Position is office based in Hartford CT or Blue Bell PA for external candidates. Work at Home available for existing WAH internal candidates only. Internal candidates can be located anywhere**

The Sr Compliance Consultant position is an exciting opportunity to join our Compliance team partnering with over 90 different business areas throughout Aetna with a focus on our commercial products ensuring applicable laws and regulations are implemented properly and in a timely manner. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the many areas of business throughout Aetna and work with a positive team in a team oriented and knowledge sharing environment.

This position is a key driver in the legislative implementation process to ensure the activities required to implement laws and regulations across Aetna businesses are compliant and completed in a timely, accurate manner.

Fundamental Components:

Builds and maintains positive relationships with business units to achieve timely implementation in response to legislation.

Effectively prioritizes and reviews the status of assigned work via use of compliance tools to track progress and manage towards business objectives and compliance due dates.

Escalates issues requiring resolution on a timely basis.

Produces summaries of implementation activity (e.g., using department project management tools) for assigned laws

5. Helps business understand regulatory requirements.

Facilitates regular work group calls/discussions.

Identify gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows.

Gathers required evidence and attestations to confirm compliance with legal requirements and may perform testing to validate compliance.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

5 years experience in a regulatory compliance position in healthcare, insurance or financial services. Previous compliance experience a plus.

Demonstrated experience influencing others

Relationship and change management

Project Management

Strong probing and investigating skills

Flexibility and adaptability to change a must

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
