Director of Compliance and Sustainability
OIC of South Florida is a community-based leader in providing quality self-help skills and employment opportunities for disadvantaged and underemployed residents, thus assisting them to become self-sufficient and productive members of society. Its work is accomplished through three divisions: Workforce Development, Youth and Families, and OIC Strategic Integration.
The Director of Compliance and Sustainability (DCS) demonstrates and reflects an understanding of and commitment to the mission, vision and core values of OIC of South Florida. This individual serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for sustainability efforts within the organization including grants management and stewardship, research and solicitation of new funding sources, and data management. The DCS reports to the Vice President and works collaboratively with division directors and program managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Grants Management and Stewardship:
The DCS ensures grant compliance and fidelity by leading grant monitoring efforts, working with program managers to ensure program fidelity, coordinating grant amendments, and assisting with data collection, evaluation and performance management. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Facilitates grant kick-off and close-out meetings as well interim status meetings as needed
Works with managers to ensure program conditions, outputs and expectations are met and assists with developing corrective action plans as needed.
Fosters and maintains positive relationships with funders
Manages grants calendar; communicates deadlines to program and finance staff, and ensures timely submission of all reports.
Creates reporting templates and ensures funder reports are prepared in a timely manner
Maintains grant document systems and historical records
Serves as a liaison with performance management and evaluation contractors
The DCS actively seeks to strengthen and expand OIC programming. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assists Directors with developing and monitoring the progress of sustainability goals
Researches and develops relationships with potential program partners and funders to facilitate design and execution of collaborative grant initiatives
Develops strategies for identifying and securing diverse funding and fosters relationships with institutional funders, corporations, and major supporters
Leads proposal development teams
The DCS will lead the development of internal data management systems to ensure that a data-driven performance accountability system is in place. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains organization’s systems for data collection, tracking, and management of relevant programmatic information
Works with program managers and division directors to ensure funder data requirements are met and that systems are in place to import and export data as necessary
Provide statistical, analytical and anecdotal data to be used in annual and semiannual reports and be able to provide overall summary of the organization’s program performance and analysis of program outcomes and community and economic impact
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in the stewardship of grants, data compliance and management, and working with federal funders. Must be able to maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds. Knowledge of evaluation, data analysis and web-based data reporting systems required.
An ideal candidate will possess proven leadership and organizational skills, experience with comprehensive program development and evaluation, demonstrated success in leading organizational sustainability efforts, and have organizational development experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee will be required to regularly stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
