Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Financial Institutions Group (FIG): Financial Institutions Group is one of nine major business lines within Wholesale Banking. It is a specialized coverage team responsible for global relationships with financial services providers. Relationships span across a broad range of industries, with clients including Banks, Insurance Companies, Asset Managers, Broker Dealers, Exchanges, Title and Escrow Companies, and Finance Companies.

The FIG Compliance and Operational Risk (FIGCOR) Team of FIG, is searching for an Operational Risk Consultant to assist us in achieving our goals.
The Operational Risk Consultant within FIGCOR will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of Corporate Risk Management Programs (including but not limited to Privacy/Global Data Privacy & Protection (GDPP) and Records Management).
This position will provide first line of defense and implementation support on Corporate Policy requirements. The qualified individual will act as a key subject matter expert associated to these policies/procedures, drive policy implementation and provide support to the Head of FIG Operational Risk.
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to provide recommendations and assessments on potential impacts, as well as provide implementation awareness and progress to strategic stakeholders within the related business groups that FIGCOR supports.
Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide oversight, guidance and credible challenge for operational risk program (Privacy, Global Data Privacy & Protection and Records Management) activities and assist in the development and implementation towards an enhanced oversight role for assigned programs and disciplines.
Build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with the business groups (both domestically and in region), Wholesale Risk Control Group, various International risk and compliance groups, and Audit partners.
Coordinate, support and lead the completion of operational risk assessments and program deliverables.
Partner with FIGCOR Framework to ensure the proper program documentation, control inventory, and any related requirements are completed and aligned with the corporate policies, including requirements for business policies, procedures and reporting.
Partner with the Wholesale Testing to perform oversight of routine line of business control testing and quality assurance (as applicable).
Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
1 year of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both
1 year of experience in one or a combination of the following: additional compliance, additional operational risk management, IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field
