Export Compliance Jobs description

Export compliance jobs are related to the management and continued implementation of effective export compliance programs under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). An export compliance officer also maintains trade compliance policies and operational procedures and updates them according to the regulatory changes brought about by the US government and other procedural changes that apply to export compliance. Export compliance personnel further prepare complex licenses and agreements to support programs. An export compliance manager will additionally supervise and provide development opportunities to the export and import compliance staff.

Export compliance jobs require candidates to have:

A bachelor's degree; an MBA or equivalent work experience are also desirable.

A minimum of five years experience with export laws and regulations while working with internal and external legal counsel.

Five years experience managing an import-export compliance team, import-export global operations, and comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of export-import regulations.
