Compliance Analyst Jobs

A compliance analyst job is related to legal and financial fields. A candidate for a compliance analyst job has to have bachelor's degree in accounting or an MIS (Management Information Systems), or related discipline with an IT or audit or legal focus. A high-level compliance analyst job requires at least 5-8 years of audit experience including internal controls compliance, risk analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and process improvement. In a large and complex organization, such as a large public or private university, hospital or large healthcare provider, previous work-experience counts heavily to get a compliance analyst job. Like any other job, a compliance analyst job also requires certain skills other than educational qualifications. The candidate must have the ability of managing problems and analyzing as well as reporting and monitoring disciplines. He or she must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide variety of individuals. The demands of a compliance analyst job require sound decision-making ability and using a holistic approach. The candidate for a compliance analyst job must possess the ability to collaborate with others in solving the problems. He or she must have the skill to understand problems using the information gathered from multiple sources. A person working in a compliance analyst job must be able to prepare and deliver presentations based on data received and analyzed. Apart from these skills, he or she may have to travel extensively.

A person who is in a compliance analyst job may have to assist in research and development of materials for educational programs, and establish a database of other institutions' approaches to compliance. Reviewing a wide variety of organization policies and procedures to make risk assessments is a regular part of a compliance analyst job. A person working in a compliance analyst job needs to analyze the effectiveness of every plan for identifying areas needing improvement. A compliance analyst plans and conducts compliance monitoring reviews, then recommends for remedial action based on review findings. He or she verifies compliance plans against established policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations. Other main task of a person in a compliance analyst job is to receive confidential questions/concerns from employees concerning compliance situations. Hence, confidentiality is one of the key concerns of a compliance analyst job.
