Compliance jobs can be found in many various businesses. People in compliance jobs ensure that the business for which they work is complying with government rules and regulations. Compliance careers are found in separate department of a business, a specific department of which is dedicated to making sure that the laid out rules and regulations of the government are being followed.

There are many possible careers in compliance, including but not limited to compliance officer jobs. A compliance manager job falls into this category of compliance officer jobs. Compliance managers oversee what the lower ranking compliance employees are doing. In a sense, compliance managers are ensuring that their lower ranking compliance employees are making sure that the government's specific rules and regulations pertaining to the business are being complied with. After overseeing what the lower ranking compliance employees are doing, and checking to make sure that these employees are doing their jobs, compliance managers then create a report on their employees, commenting on whether they are doing right or not. This report is then forwarded to the higher ranking compliance officials, such as the chief compliance manager.

Compliance managers play a vital role in their company's compliance department. In many cases, they act as messengers between the higher ranking compliance officials and the lower ranking compliance to report on what has been done and what has remained to be done. Without compliance managers, communication between higher ranking compliance employees and lower ranking compliance employees is not possible. Thus the two groups of employees can concentrate more on their specific work.

Although communicating between the two levels of compliance employees is an extremely important part of being a compliance manager, compliance managers are also very vital to their business in other ways as well. In addition to acting as a messenger, compliance managers make sure that government rules and regulations pertaining to their business are being followed. However, compliance managers seem to get the best of both worlds, for they work alongside both the higher ranking compliance employees and the lower ranking compliance employees. This allows compliance managers to see what all is going on in both areas of their business' compliance department.

The qualification for becoming a compliance manager varies from one business to the other. So you have to check with the particular company to know the qualifications they need. There are some basic qualifications and skills that every compliance manager, regardless of which business they may work for, should have. One such skill that all people who are looking at a career of a compliance manager should have is people skill as they manage many people. Compliance managers should be thoroughly aware of specific government rules that are applicable to their companies.

On an average, a typical compliance manager in the United States makes just about $88,000 per year, besides many benefits and perks. The benefits and perks a compliance manager gets vary from company to company. However, most businesses offer very good health and dental care plans, 401K plans, and many other perks.
