The problem is that with so many small rules, all equally important, it can be next to impossible to keep an eye on them all at once.

Compliance officers are people who are interested in making sure that your procedures and products are functioning properly within the rule of law. They take care of making sure that you are not breaking any local or federal laws as you go about your business and they are the ones who okay many of the different processes that your company may be looking in to. Remember that when you are thinking about hiring a compliance officer or of promoting one up from your company, that you are going to have to figure out what your options are going to be. They need to be people who are on top of their game and they need to be able to ask questions and get answers. Take a moment to consider how are you are going to be able to find a good candidate for this position.
