Key Responsibilities
SUMMARY
This Paralegal will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all pertinent information to be used by firm Attorneys to counsel their clients of any recent policy changes, not just in the United State, but around the globe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Partner, legal practice group and committee in the management of the Firm's global knowledge management systems, template documents and best practice materials
Assist with knowledge management including research, writing and editing and other duties
Assemble and distribute daily firm wide alerts to keep attorneys and staff abreast of all relevant information affecting cases and client advice
Assist with research for and writing, development and maintenance of firm handbooks, publications and presentations
Manage Professional Practices and legal training calendar; coordinate with HR and staff for calls, WebEx sessions, meetings and events; distribute training announcements and reminders
Maintain library of training materials and Professional Practices training database
Maintain Professional Practices portal content, client and firm wide alert databases
Attend and take minutes at Professional Practices, stakeholder, and practice group meetings
Coordinate Professional Practices participation in government stakeholder meetings
Organize all operational logistics for executive meetings including technology equipment, conference rooms, food, beverage and appropriate staff
Prepare all agendas, itineraries, previous notes, actions plans and presentations
Update external guidance database and Professional Practices content on IHP Assist with conference planning and coordination
Manage group’s document library, data and project materials for various assignments
Maintain centralized storage of documentation collected from legal teams
Compile user guides for business applications
Required Skills
2-8 years of legal compliance experience within a global law firm or corporation
Advanced skills with PowerPoint, Visio and other visual communication programs
Proficiency with Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Excel and MS Project
Experience with document and project management
Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills
Immigration case processing experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree
